Jacquelyn completed her Articles of Clerkship at Voitin Walker
Davis in 2004 and remained there as a solicitor until May
2006. Whilst at Voitin Walker Davis, Jacquelyn enjoyed a mixed
criminal and commercial practise. She had the carriage of
and assisted with numerous indictable criminal matters including
major commercial frauds, injury/assault/affray matters, and
various sex offences. She also had carriage of numerous summary
offence matters including for firearms offences, driving offences
and contravention of intervention orders.
In addition to her criminal law practice, Jacquelyn had wide
ranging experience running or assisting in various civil litigation
and commercial matters. These predominantly involved debt
recovery, partnership disputes and intellectual property matters.
On occasion, her criminal and civil litigation practices have
coincided, resulting in the conduct of concurrent proceedings
for commercial fraud involving the same parties and arising
out of the same factual matrix.
Between June 2006 and July 2008 Jacquelyn was employed as
a solicitor advocate at Robert Stary and Associates. Whilst
there, Jacquelyn practised solely in criminal law and intervention
order matters. She enjoyed extensive appearance work in many
suburban Magistrates' Courts together with County and Supreme
courts of Victoria.
Between July 2008 and coming to the Bar, Jacquelyn returned
to Voitin Walker Davis as a solicitor.
