Simon is a criminal lawyer with a wide range of summary and indictable experience. He undertook Professional Legal Training with the Western Aboriginal Legal Service and the Western NSW Community Legal Centre in Dubbo, NSW. He then worked at the Central Australian Aboriginal Legal Aid Service (CAALAS) in Alice Springs and then briefly for the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service and Victoria Legal Aid.
In the Northern Territory he appeared regularly in the Magistrates'
Court in all matters including committals for serious indictable
offences. He appeared regularly in the Supreme Court
in pleas of guilty and has some experience as a trial and
appellate advocate.
As a solicitor in Victoria he maintained carriage of a large summary and indictable crime practice and appeared regularly in Courts across Victoria including the Koori Court. |
