Prior to commencing his career
in the law, Tim worked for a number of years as a crane driver,
rigger, dogman, scaffolder, forklift driver and glazier.
He spent in excess of 15 years working in multi-storey construction,
and construction, installation and maintenance of large industrial
plants including steel mills, petrochemical and gas plants,
large manufacturing plants and offshore oil rigs (drill rigs
and production platforms), as well as large scale demolition
work.
As a result, he has a keen interest in and understanding of
Occupational Health and Safety issues from both a legal and
a practical, "hands on" viewpoint.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Tim worked at a leading Melbourne
criminal law firm. During his time there, he was involved in
many complex and high-profile criminal matters in the Magistrates,
County and Supreme Courts.
Tim's practice is primarily in the criminal and quasi-criminal
jurisdictions, often in matters requiring a considerable amount
of preparation and analysis. He has appeared in a large number
of criminal trials in the County and Supreme Courts on behalf
of both defence and prosecution, as well as undertaking a number
of prosecutions on behalf of government agencies.
